New Year’s Resolution for Nurses – This year I will try to be better!

I will try to be better than the day before.

I will try to be nice – even if I don’t want to be nice.

I will not pass by a call light without checking in with the patient.

I will offer help to my co-workers.

I will not be afraid to speak up if I have a different opinion about a patient.

I will remember that my patients are changed by the care I provide.

I will do all this – even if no one notices or acknowledges me. I will do this because I understand that people are my business and I am their advocate. I am a nurse.
